Sensor, Intelligent Battery (IBS): Installation: Installation

NOTE:

Connecting the negative battery cable to the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) must be done before installing on the battery post.

  1. Connect the negative battery cable to the IBS (1).

    Tighten to 16 N.m (12 ft. lbs.).

  2. Install the IBS on the negative battery post.
  3. Tighten the captive nut (3) to 8 N.m (72 In. lbs.).
  4. Connect the IBS electrical harness (2) to the IBS.
  5. Install the components removed to access the battery. Refer to BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
