Programming The Win
NOTE:
The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.
NOTE:
On vehicles equipped with the Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS), when the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) is replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to initialize the new WIN and to program at least two Sentry Key FOBIK transponders before the vehicle can be operated.
CAUTION:
Read all notes and cautions for programming procedures.
NOTE:
Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine
CAUTION:
If the PCM and WIN are replaced at the same time, the PCM MUST be programmed before the WIN.
- Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
- With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps:
- Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)"
- Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab
- Highlight "WIN REPLACED"
- Select the "Start Misc Function" button
- Select "NEXT"
- Enter the PIN when prompted.
- Select "NEXT"
- Verify that the PIN number is correct
- Once verified select "NEXT"
- Select "NEXT"
- Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button
- Cycle ignition key after the successful routine completion.
