Support Plate: Installation

1 - PARK BRAKE SHOES

2 - HOLD DOWN CLIPS

3 - RETURN SPRING

4 - ACTUATOR LEVER

Install support plate on axle flange. Tighten attaching bolts (3) to 115 N.m (85 ft. lbs.).
Install parking brake cable in the brake actuator lever (4).

2 - SUPPORT PLATE
Install the park brake shoes (1) (Refer to BRAKES/PARKING BRAKE/SHOES - INSTALLATION) .

Install axle shaft (1), (Refer to DIFFERENTIAL & DRIVELINE/REAR AXLE - C213R/AXLE SHAFTS - INSTALLATION) .

Install the axle shaft flange nuts (1).

Install the wheel speed sensor (2).
Adjust brake shoes to drum with brake gauge (Refer to BRAKES/PARKING BRAKE/SHOES - ADJUSTMENTS) .

Install the rotor (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/ROTORS - INSTALLATION) .

1 - WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WIRE

2 - CABLE

3 - BRAKE HOSE

4 - CALIPER SLIDE BOLTS

5 - BANJO BOLT

Install the caliper and the slide bolts (4) (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS - INSTALLATION) .
Install the wheel and tire assembly (Refer to TIRES/WHEELS/WHEELS - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
