Diagnostic Test

  1. 1) CHECK FOR A DTC C1210-G SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE 
    NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.

    Turn the ignition on.

    With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.

    With the scan tool, read and record Freeze Frame information.

    With the scan tool, erase DTCs.

    Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.

    With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.

    Does the scan tool display: C1210-G SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE? 

    Yes 

    1. Go To  2).

    No 

    1. The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
    2. Refer to the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST .
  2. 2) MODULE FAILURE 
    NOTE: The Sensor Cluster is the same as the Dynamics Sensor.

    The G-sensor is in the ABM if it is TCS only and in the Sensor Cluster if it has ESP.

    Check the module for correct mounting, if ESP, the Sensor Cluster connector is facing passenger side.

    Is the module mounted correctly? 

    Yes 

    1. Replace the ABM if it is TCS only, or replace the Sensor Cluster if it has ESP.
    2. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    1. Mount the module correctly and retest.
    2. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST .
