Front Impact Sensor: Installation

  1. Connect front impact sensor electrical connector to impact sensor. Position front impact sensor on radiator support vertical member. Install impact sensor upper retaining screw and loosely tighten screw. Install impact sensor lower retaining screw and tighten screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Tighten impact sensor upper retaining screw to specification. DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
