ITM - Transducer Failure (Export Only)

When Monitored: Continuously during VTSS pre-arm mode.

Set Condition: The ITM sends a test ultrasonic signal during the pre-arm process. If the test signal is not correctly received, the code will be set.

Possible Causes are:

  1. Using the DRBIII(R), erase the current Intrusion Transceiver Module DTC's. Turn ignition off. Arm the VTSS and wait 1 minute. Disarm the VTSS and Turn ignition on. Using the DRBIII(R), read Intrusion Transceiver Module DTC's. Does the DRBIII(R) display: ITM Transducer Failure? If yes, go to next step. If no, the condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Test is complete. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Inspect the louvers of the Intrusion Transceiver Module for blockage from dust or debris. Were there any problems found? If yes, clean as necessary. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST 1A  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, replace the Intrusion Transceiver Module. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
