Heated Seat Switch Illumination Light Inoperative
- Remove and inspect driver's heated seat switch light bulb. Replace as needed. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
- Remove and inspect passenger's heated seat switch light bulb. Replace as needed. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect driver's heated seat switch connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and driver's heated seat switch connector terminal No. 5 (Black wire). See Fig 1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Black wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect passenger's heated seat switch connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and passenger's heated seat switch connector terminal No. 5 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Black wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C1. See Figure. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Orange wire between passenger's heated seat switch connector terminal No. 2 and BCM connector C1 terminal No. 12. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Orange wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
