Sentry Key Immobilizer System Indicator (Skis) Not Operating Properly

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Press and hold TRIP/RESET button on instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. MIC self-test will start. If SKIS indicator light illuminates for about 4 seconds and then goes out, go to next step. If SKIS indicator light does not illuminate for about 4 seconds and then go out, go to step  3 .
  2. Using scan tool, select VEHICLE THEFT/SECURITY, then SKIM DTCs. If any SKIM DTCs are present, go to appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS article. If no SKIM DTCs are present, test is complete.
  3. Using scan tool, select VEHICLE THEFT/SECURITY, then SKIM DTCs. If any SKIM DTCs are present, go to appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS article. If no SKIM DTCs are present, go to next step.
  4. Remove and inspect SKIS indicator bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, replace instrument printed circuit board.
