Overdrive/Override (OD/OR) Switch (A/T)

OD/OR switch is used on vehicles equipped with Overdrive (O/D). PCM controls 3-4 O/D up-shift and down-shift through OD solenoid, located on transmission. OD/OR switch is a push-button switch, located on instrument panel, used to override PCM control of OD solenoid and keep transmission in a lower gear. An indicator light will come on when OD/OR switch is open and PCM OD control is not allowed.
