Test SC-4A: Checking Speed Control Operation
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector. Ensure gear selector is in Drive. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance of Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch sense circuit between Black PCM connector terminal A6, (Black/White wire) and ground. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace PCM. Perform TEST SC-VER . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Disconnect PNP switch connector. Measure resistance of PNP switch sense circuit between Black PCM connector terminal A6, (Brown/Light Blue wire) and ground. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace PNP switch. Perform TEST SC-VER . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in PNP switch sense circuit. Perform TEST SC-VER .
