- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of signal circuit (White/Orange wire) between VSS connector and PCM White connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open signal circuit and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Check resistance between ground and PCM White connector, signal circuit (White/Orange wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step 17) . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to next step.
- Check resistance of sensor ground circuit (Black/Light Blue wire) between VSS connector and PCM Black connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open ground circuit and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Check resistance between ground and VSS connector, sensor ground circuit (Black/Light Blue wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair sensor ground circuit for short to ground and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace PCM and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION .
- If vehicle is not equipped with Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), repair short to ground in signal circuit (White/Orange wire) and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION . If vehicle is equipped with DRL, go to next step.
- Disconnect DRL module connector. Inspect connector and terminals for damage. Repair connector and terminals as necessary and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION . If connector and terminals are okay, go to next step.
- Check resistance between ground and PCM White connector, signal circuit (White/Orange wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in signal circuit and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace DRL module and perform TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect CAB module and PCM connectors. Inspect connectors and terminals for damage. Repair connectors and terminals as necessary and perform TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES on AB body, or TEST VER-2A: ROAD TEST VERIFICATION on all other bodies. If connectors and terminals are okay, go to next step.
