Test TC-113C: EVAP Purge Flow Monitor Failure
NOTE:
Perform TEST TC-113A: EVAP PURGE FLOW MONITOR FAILURE before proceeding. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For component location and wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
NOTE:
Replacing PCM will not correct this problem. EVAP purge solenoid may also be referred to as EVAP solenoid.
- Remove EVAP solenoid. Tap vent ports against a clean, solid surface. If no foreign material falls out, replace EVAP solenoid and perform TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES . If any foreign falls out, go to next step.
- Inspect EVAP solenoid-to-EVAP canister hose for being disconnected, ripped or cut. Repair hose as necessary, replace EVAP solenoid and perform TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES . If hose is okay, replace EVAP solenoid and EVAP canister, and perform TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES .
