Power Seat Adjuster/Motor Test
NOTE:
The following test is for models without power seat memory system option.
- Operate power seat switch so that all 3 motors have been energized. If one or more motors operate, see POWER SEAT SWITCH TEST . If no motors operate, go to next step.
- Check circuit breaker. See CIRCUIT BREAKER TEST . Replace circuit breaker as necessary and recheck system operation. If circuit breaker is okay, remove power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH R & I .
- Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal "B" (Red/Light Blue wire). If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Red/Light Blue or Red wire between circuit breaker and power seat switch.
- Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between ground and terminal "A" (Black wire). If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire between power seat switch and ground.
- Test power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH TEST . Replace switch as necessary and recheck system operation. If switch is okay, replace faulty power seat adjuster/motor assembly and recheck system operation.
