Test 46A - Open Mic Sensor Circuits

NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Natural connector and MIC connector. Check connectors, and clean or repair connectors as necessary. If connectors are okay, go to next step.
- Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of Orange/Dark Blue wire between MIC connector terminal No. 3 and BCM Natural connector terminal No. 5. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Orange/Dark Blue wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Check resistance of Light Blue wire between MIC connector terminal No. 5 and BCM Natural connector terminal No. 6. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Light Blue wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace BCM.
