Interior Lights Test 7A - Liftgate (Cargo) Courtesy Light Inoperative
NOTE:
Perform INTERIOR LIGHTS TEST 1A
before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAM. Perform TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
- Disconnect liftgate courtesy light connector. Connect a jumper wire between liftgate connector terminals "B" (Pink wire) and "C" (White/Light Green wire). If liftgate courtesy light goes out, replace liftgate courtesy light assembly. If liftgate courtesy light does not go out, leave jumper wire connected. Go to next step.
- Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Black 14-pin connector. BCM is located under left side of dash. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, probe BCM Black 14-pin connector terminal No. 6 (White/Light Green wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in White/Light Green wire. If voltage is 10 volts or more, replace BCM.
