Interior Lights Test 3A - Courtesy Lights Inoperative From Headlight Switch

NOTE: Perform INTERIOR LIGHTS TEST 1A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Ensure ignition switch is off and all doors are closed. Disconnect headlight switch connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, probe headlight switch connector terminal No. 2 (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between headlight switch connector terminal No. 3 (Pink/Light Blue wire) and chassis ground. If courtesy lights illuminate, replace headlight switch. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Backprobe a jumper wire between Body Control Module (BCM) Black 24-pin connector terminal No. 6 (Pink/Light Blue wire) and chassis ground. DO NOT  disconnect BCM connector. BCM is located under left side of dash. If courtesy lights illuminate, repair open in Pink/Light Blue wire. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, replace BCM.
