Chime Test 4A - Chime Sounds With Driver's Door Open

NOTE: Perform CHIME TEST 1A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Turn lights and accessories off. Remove ignition key. Open left front door. If chime does not sound, chime system is working properly at this time. If chime sounds, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, select CHIME MONITOR. Read key-in ignition status. If scan tool does not display KEY-IN IGNITION SW: CLOSED, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located under left side of dash. If scan tool displays KEY-IN IGNITION SW: CLOSED, go to CHIME TEST 4B  .
