Inactive DTC Condition Or Intermittent Short Condition

This procedure applies if you have been sent here from diagnostic tests and have just attempted to simulate the condition that initially set DTC message or caused a fuse to blow. The following additional checks may assist in identifying a possible intermittent problem:

• Visually inspect related wiring harness connectors for broken, bent, pushed out or corroded terminal pins.
• Visually inspect related wiring harnesses for chafed, pierced or partially broken wires.
• Check if technical service bulletins apply to vehicle.
• Visually inspect related harnesses for loose or improper routing around sharp objects or under trim panels.
