Power Seat Adjuster/Motors Test

  1. Operate power seat switch so that all 3 motors have been energized. If one or more motors operates, see POWER SEAT SWITCH TEST  . If no motors operate, see CIRCUIT BREAKER TEST  . If circuit breaker fails test, replace faulty circuit breaker. If circuit breaker passes test, go to next step.
  2. Remove power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at connector terminal "B" (Red wire). If battery voltage does not exist, repair open Red wire to circuit breaker. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
  3. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between ground and connector terminal "A" (Black wire). If no continuity exists, repair open Black wire to ground. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  4. Test power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH TEST  . If switch tests okay, replace faulty power seat adjuster/motors assembly.
