Test 47B - Grounded Oil Pressure Sending Unit Signal CKT

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article in this section.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect oil pressure sending unit connector. Using DRB, read oil pressure sending unit voltage. If voltage is more than 8 volts, replace oil pressure sending unit. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If voltage is less than 8 volts, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Natural Body Control Module (BCM) connector. BCM is located behind center console. Using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of oil pressure sending unit signal circuit (Gray/Yellow wire) at Natural BCM connector terminal No. 22. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Gray/Yellow wire. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace BCM. Perform TEST VER-1B  .
