Test 7B - Repairing Security Indicator Light Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAM  .
NOTE: Perform TEST 7A  before proceeding with TEST 7B.

Turn ignition off and disconnect VTA module. See Figure in TEST 1A and see VEHICLE THEFT ALARM MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Inspect connector, clean and repair as needed. If security indicator light comes on, repair short to ground in security indicator light control (Black/Orange wire). Perform TEST VER-1  . If security indicator light does not come on, replace VTA module. See VEHICLE THEFT ALARM MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform TEST VER-1  .
