Test 3A - Repairing Security Light Flashing Constantly
NOTE:

NOTE:
Perform TEST 1A
before proceeding with TEST 3A.
- Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect the VTA module. See Figure in TEST 1A and see VEHICLE THEFT ALARM MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Inspect connector, clean and repair as needed. Connect DRB to data link connector and turn ignition on. Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage at VTA module connector terminal No. 6 (Pink/Orange wire). If voltage is less than one volt, replace VTA module. Perform TEST VER-1 . If voltage is more than one volt, disconnect Remote 6Keyless Entry (RKE) module and go to the next step. See Fig 1 .
- Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage at VTA module connector terminal No. 6 (Pink/Orange wire). If voltage is more than one volt, repair short to voltage in Pink/Orange wire circuit between VTA module connector and RKE module. Perform TEST VER-1 . If voltage is less than one volt, replace RKE module. Perform TEST VER-1 .
