Test Dr-31A - Intermittent AIS Motor Circuit Fault

  1. Turn ignition on. Using DRB-II, erase faults and actuate AIS motor. Read secondary indicators while actuating AIS motor. Wiggle AIS motor connector. If fault indicator returns, repair AIS motor wiring or connector. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2  .
  2. If fault indicator does not return, wiggle sections of wiring harness between AIS motor and engine controller. Wait 5 seconds before moving to next section of wiring harness.
  3. If fault indicator returns, repair wiring harness where wiggling caused fault indicator to return. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2  . If fault indicator does not return, test is complete. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2  .
