Test Dr-16B - "Injector No. 1 Control Circuit"
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
at end of article.
- Turn ignition on. Using DRB-II, actuate fuel system. Place DRB-II in voltmeter mode. Probe Dark Green/Black wire at injector No. 1 connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Dark Green/Black wire between injector connector and harness splice. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2 . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect and inspect engine controller 60-pin connector. Repair connector if damaged. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2 . If connector is okay, place DRB-II in ohmmeter mode. Check resistance of Light Blue wire at engine controller connector terminal No. 16. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, repair Light Blue wire for a short to ground. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2 .
- If resistance is 10 ohms or more, check resistance of Light Blue wire between fuel injector No. 1 connector and engine controller connector terminal No. 16 using a DVOM. If resistance is 10 ohms or more, repair open Light Blue wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2 . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace engine controller. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2 .
