Test SP-6A, Checking Cruise Control Resume Switch Circuit
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC) connector. Inspect connector. If connector is not okay, repair connector as necessary. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER .
- If connector is okay, turn ignition switch to ON position. Place DRB-II in voltmeter mode. Probe terminal No. 50 (White/Light Green wire) at SBEC connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace cruise control switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER . If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Access cruise control switch connector. See Fig 1 . While holding RESUME switch down, backprobe White/Light Green wire at cruise control switch connector. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace cruise control switch. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Continue to hold RESUME switch down and probe terminal No. 50 (White/Light Green wire) at SBEC connector. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in White/Light Green wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER . If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace SBEC. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER .
