Test SP-6B, Testing Cruise Control On/Off Switch
- Place DRB-II in voltmeter mode. With cruise control switch connector connected, probe terminal No. 1 (Dark Blue wire) at cruise control switch connector. See Fig 1 . If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in White/Red wire between cruise control fuse and cruise control switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER .
- If voltage is 10 volts or more, put cruise control ON/OFF switch in ON position. Probe terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Red wire) at cruise control connector. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace cruise control switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER . If voltage is 10 volts or more, turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Disconnect Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC) connector. Inspect connector. If connector is not okay, repair connector as necessary. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER . If connector is okay, turn ignition switch to ON position.
- Probe terminal No. 49 (Yellow/Red wire) at SBEC connector. If voltage is 10 volts or more, replace SBEC. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER . If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Yellow/Red wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER .
