Verification Test VER-1A - Verification Of Complaint
- Diagnostic procedure must begin with a thorough visual inspection of ABS system components.
- Connect DRBII to ABS connector, located near power distribution center, on right wheelwell.
- Perform system test using DRBII.
- Read fault codes.
- If fault code 802, 803 or 805 is displayed, perform appropriate test. See FAULT CODES table.
- Turn ignition off. Depress brake pedal to floor 25 times.
- Ensure parking brake is fully released. Drive vehicle at speeds greater than 15 MPH for at least 3 minutes. Ensure ignition is on for at least 5 minutes.
- Read fault codes. If any codes are present, see FAULT CODES table for appropriate test. If fault code was present is step 4) but did not reset after driving vehicle, perform TEST VER-3A. System is operating properly at this time and fault is not being duplicated.
