Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Make the SRS system safe.

    For additional information, refer to: AIRBAG DISPOSAL  (Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering, General Procedures).

  2. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.

    For additional information, refer to: BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES -- XK/X150 (Specifications).

  3. Remove the front seat.

    For additional information, refer to: FRONT ROW SEAT (Removal and Installation).

    Release the front seat backrest cover lower tension straps.

    • Release from the seat frame.
  5. G11524262

    Release the 9 front seat backrest cover rear panel retaining clips.

    • Release from the backrest cover.
    • Release from the seat frame.
  6. Release the 5 front seat backrest cover lower retaining clips.
    • Release from the seat frame.

    Release the front seat backrest cover central tension straps.

    • Release from the seat frame.

Remove the side air bag module.
