IMPROVING DIAGNOSTICS FOR WARNING LAMP SYMPTOMS AND MESSAGES

TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN

ISSUE

Need to improve the recommendations by the SDD tool when customer symptom is "(multiple) warning lights on the instrument cluster" or "warning messages in display".

Cause:

The symptom selection is not carried on past the general symptom "Warning lamps" or "Information and message center" 3rd level on the diagnostics screen. See attached file.

ACTION

To improve the diagnostics and recommendations provided by the SDD tool, all warning lights and warning message symptoms should always be selected to the 4th or 5th level (where applicable). See attached file.
