Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Main Control Valve Body - In-Vehicle Procedures: Removal

NOTE:
The transmission control module (TCM) is part of the main control valve body and cannot be serviced separately.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Specifications article.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the fluid pan. See Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter .
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the electrical connector sleeve.
- Release the retainer.
- Remove the TCM and valve body.
- Position a container to collect spillage.
- Remove the 10 Torx screws.
- Remove and discard the 4 O-ring seals.
- Remove the seal block.
WARNING:
Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
