Test Description

Number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the Diagnostic Chart .

1. 2. This step verifies that the problem is present at idle.
2. 4. A MAF sensor Voltage or Mass Air Flow reading with the MAF sensor connector disconnected indicates an electromagnetic interference (EMI) related fault.
3. 8. This vehicle is equipped with a ECM which utilizes an electrically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM). When the ECM is being replaced, the new ECM must be programmed. Refer to Engine Control Module (ECM) .
