Conditions For Setting DTC
- No EGR, HO2S (response, transition, open, low voltage, no activity). MAF sensor, TPS, MAP sensor, IAT sensor, EVAP system (canister purge), fuel injector circuit or misfire DTCs are stored.
- Engine coolant temperature is 42.8-221°F (6-105°C).
- Intake air temperature is between -40 to 248°F (-40 to 120°C).
- Manifold absolute pressure is between 24 and 99 kPa.
- Throttle angle is steady between 3 and 95 percent.
- Vehicle speed is less than 85 MPH.
- Engine speed is between 400 and 6000 RPM.
- Barometric pressure is 72.5 kPa or more.
- Mass air flow is between 2 and 200 g/s.
- Ignition system is more than 9.5 volts.
- Fuel system is in closed loop.
- Canister purge duty cycle is more than zero percent if ON.
- The average of short term fuel trim samples is more than 1.02, and the average of adaptive index multiplier samples is above 1.15.
- Lean counter is more than 20 counts (5 seconds), consecutive times.
