Conditions For Setting DTC

Following conditions must be met for DTC diagnostic test to run:

• None of the following are present: EGR, HO2S (response, transition, open, low voltage, no activity). MAF sensor, TPS, MAP sensor, IAT sensor, EVAP system (canister purge), fuel injector circuit or misfire DTCs.
• Engine coolant temperature is 42.8-221°F (6-105°C).
• Intake air temperature is -40 to 248°F (-40 to 120°C).
• Manifold absolute pressure is between 24 and 99 kPa.
• Throttle angle is between 3 percent and 95 percent.
• Vehicle speed is less than 85 MPH (136 km/h).
• Engine speed is between 400 and 6000 RPM.
• Barometric pressure is 72.5 kPa or more.
• Mass air flow is between 2 and 200 g/s.
• Ignition system is more than 9.5 volts.
• Fuel system is in closed loop.
• Lean counter is more than 20 counts (5 seconds) consecutive times.
