Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
- Before replacing AV control unit, perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING AV CONTROL UNIT" to save or print current vehicle specification. For details, refer to Description .
- Remove battery terminal and AV control unit after a lapse of 30 seconds or more after placing the ignition switch in the OFF position.
NOTE:
After the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position, the AV control unit continues operating for approximately 30 seconds. Therefore, data corruption may occur if battery voltage is cut off within 30 seconds.
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
- Remove cluster lid C. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove the control unit bracket screws.
- Disconnect the harness connectors from the AV control unit, TCU and front auxiliary input jacks control unit.
- Remove the AV control unit, TCU and front auxiliary input jacks control unit with control unit brackets.
- Remove the control unit brackets.
- Remove the AV control unit.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
Be sure to perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING AV CONTROL UNIT" when replacing AV control unit. For details, refer to Description .
