DTC Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK TIMING CHAIN INSTALLATION
Check service records for any recent repairs that may cause timing chain misaligned.
Are there any service records that may cause timing chain misaligned?
YES>>
Check timing chain installation. Refer to TIMING CHAIN : Exploded View .
NO>>
GO TO 2.
- CHECK CAMSHAFT SPROCKET AND TIMING CHAIN
Check the following.
- Visually check for chipping camshaft sprocket (bank 1) gear tooth.
- Timing chain tension and elongation.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>
INSPECTION END
NO>>
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
