Work Procedure
- Precautions: Refer to Precaution for Blind Spot Warning/Blind Spot Intervention System Service .
- System description for Blind Spot Warning: Refer to System Description .
- System description for Blind Spot Intervention: Refer to System Description .
- LDW/LDP SYSTEM ACTION TEST
Perform the LDW/LDP system action test. Refer to Description .
GO TO 2.
- CHECK BSW SYSTEM SETTING
- Start the engine.
- Check that the BSW system setting can be enabled/disabled on the integral switch.
- Turn OFF the ignition switch and wait for 5 seconds or more.
- Check that the previous setting is saved when the engine starts again.
GO TO 3.
- BSW SYSTEM ACTION TEST
- Enable the setting of the BSW system on the integral switch.
- Turn warning systems switch ON (warning systems ON indicator is ON).NOTE: Blind Spot Intervention system is OFF.
- Check BSW operation according to the following table.

NOTE:- If vehicle speed exceeds approximately 32 km/h (20 MPH), BSW function operates until the vehicle speed becomes lower than approximately 29 km/h (18 MPH).
- Time shown in the figure is approximate time.
- Always Blind Spot Intervention system operates together with BSW system. Whenever Blind Spot Intervention system is turned ON in the integral switch, BSW system will also be turned on even if the BSW system is turned off.
GO TO 4.
- CHECK BLIND SPOT INTERVENTION SYSTEM SETTING
- Start the engine.
- Check that the Blind Spot Intervention system setting can be enabled/disabled on the integral switch.
- Turn OFF the ignition switch and wait for 5 seconds or more.
- Check that the previous setting is saved when the engine starts again.
GO TO 5.
- CHECK WARNING SYSTEM SWITCH
- Start the engine.
- After starting the engine wait for 5 seconds or more.
- Enable the setting of the Blind Spot Intervention system on the integral switch.
- Press the warning system switch.
- Check that the Blind Spot Intervention ON indicator on the combination meter illuminates.
- Check that the Blind Spot Intervention ON indicator turns OFF when the system is turned OFF by pressing the warning system switch.
- Check that the Blind Spot Intervention ON indicator turns OFF when the engine starts again.
NOTE:- The Blind Spot Intervention ON indicator does not illuminate even when the warning system switch is turned ON within approximately 5 seconds after starting the engine.
