DTC Diagnosis Procedure

If DTC U1000 is displayed with DTC P0607, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC P0607.

Is DTC P0607 detected?

YES

Perform diagnosis of P0607. Refer to DTC Description .

NO

GO TO 2.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
3. Disconnect electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.
4. Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.

5. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

NO

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

Refer to Inspection .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4.

NO

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

Replace electric intake valve timing control module. Refer to ELECTRIC INTAKE VALVE TIMING CONTROL MODULE : Removal & Installation .

GO TO 5.

1. Reconnect all harness connectors disconnected.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Erase DTC.
4. Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure.

   Refer to DTC Description .

5. Check 1st trip DTC.

Is the DTC U1000 displayed again?

YES

GO TO 6.

NO

INSPECTION END

Replace ECM. Refer to ECM : Removal & Installation .
