DTC Diagnosis Procedure

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect electric intake valve timing control actuator (bank 1) harness connector and electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between electric intake valve timing control actuator (bank 1) harness connector and electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.

4. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2.

NO

Repair or replace error-detected parts.

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Inspection .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace electric intake valve timing control actuator (bank 1). Refer to TIMING CHAIN : Exploded View .

NO

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
