Confirmation Procedure

If DTC P159F displayed with DTC UXXXX, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0125, P0196, P0197, P0198, P0500 or P0607 first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC UXXXX, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0125, P0196, P0197, P0198, P0500 or P0607.

Is DTC UXXXX, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0125, P0196, P0197, P0198, P0500 or P0607 detected?

YES

Perform diagnosis of applicable.

• DTC UXXXX: Refer to DTC Index .
• DTC P0116: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P0117, P0118: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P0125: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P0196: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P0197, P0198: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P0500: Refer to DTC Description .
• DTC P0607: Refer to DTC Description .

NO

GO TO 2.

If another DTC Confirmation Procedure is conducted just before this procedure, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is between 11V and 16V with ignition switch ON.

With CONSULT

GO TO 3.

Without CONSULT

GO TO 4.

With CONSULT

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait 10 seconds or more.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. On CONSULT screen, select "ENGINE">>"Active Test">>"ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER".
4. Touch "CALIBRTN"at least 30 seconds.
5. Check 1st trip DTC.

Is DTC P159F is detected?

YES

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

NO

INSPECTION END

1. Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h (19 MPH) or more for at least 30 seconds.
2. Check DTC.

Is DTC P159F detected?

YES

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

NO

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Inspection .

NO

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
