Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (RAD NO. 1, ACC) 
    1. Disconnect the ACC fuse from the main body ECU.
    2. Disconnect the RAD NO. 1 fuse from the engine room junction block.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      RAD NO. 1 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the W2 display connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W2-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      W2-16(+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      W2-15 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (see REMOVAL  )
