DTC Confirmation Test Malfunction "B" (Using Generic Scan Tool)

  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Maintain following conditions for 10 consecutive seconds:
    • A/T in drive position or M/T in appropriate gear to drive vehicle uphill maintaining increased engine load for specified time period.
    • Engine speed of 2000 RPM or more.
    • Engine coolant temperature 158°F (70°C) or more.
    • Voltage between ground and ECM terminal No. 91 more than 3.2 volts.
  2. On scan tool, select MODE 7. If DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
