DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Start engine and let it idle for at least 6 seconds. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Start engine and let it idle for at least 6 seconds. Select MODE 3 with scan tool. If DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
