Possible Causes

When vehicle speed is more than 19 MPH (30 km/h), ON signals from stop lamp switch and ASCD brake switch are sent to the ECM at same time. Possible causes are:

• Defective ASCD brake switch.
• Defective ECM.
• Harness or connectors (ASCD brake switch circuit is open or shorted).
• Incorrect ASCD brake switch installation.
• Incorrect stop lamp switch installation.
• Defective stop lamp switch.
