DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

  1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
  2. Set voltmeter probes between ECM harness connector F101 terminal No. 91 (HO2S1 bank 1 signal) or No. 92 (HO2S1 bank 2 signal) and engine ground.
  3. Check one of the following with engine speed held at 2000 RPM constant under no load:
    • Maximum voltage is less than 0.8 volt at least one time.
    • Minimum voltage is less than 0.35 volt at least one time.
  4. If voltage reading is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
