Inspection 1 Can Communication Line Or VDC/TCS/Abs Control Unit And Steering Angle Sensor System
- Self-Diagnosis Result Check 1
Check the self-diagnosis results.
Are any items other than above indicated in self-diagnosis results?
- YES: Repair or replace harness or connectors.
- NO: GO TO 2 .
- Check The Harness And Connectors Between The VDC/TCS/ABS Control Unit And The Steering Angle Sensor.
- Disconnect the VDC/TCS/ABS control unit connector and the steering angle sensor connector with the ignition switch OFF.
- Check the harness between the VDC/TCS/ABS control unit and steering angle sensor for open and shorted circuit.
- Check the connectors for each control unit and sensor. (Check the connector housing for disconnected, loose, bent, and collapsed terminals.)
Is inspection result OK?
- Self-Diagnosis Result Check 2
- Connect the connectors to each control unit and sensor and turn the ignition switch ON.
- After erasing the self-diagnosis result, start the engine to perform the self-diagnosis again.
Is only STEERING ANGLE SENSOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM indicated in the self-diagnosis item display?
- YES: Spiral cable (Replace the steering angle sensor to adjust the neutral position of the steering angle sensor. Refer to ADJUSTMENT OF NEUTRAL POSITION OF STEERING ANGLE SENSOR .)
- NO: GO TO 4 .
- CAN Communication System Check
Check CAN DIAGNOSIS SUPPORT MONITOR of the data monitor items.

Is inspection result OK?
- After printing the monitor items, go to CAN SYSTEM. Refer to CHECK SHEET .
