Test F: Slip Light Does Not Turn On When Ignition Is Turned On
- Check fuse No. 30 (10-amp) located in instrument panel fuse block. See Figure
. If fuse is blown, replace fuse and retest. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect ABS/TCS control unit 31 pin harness connector. See Figure
. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and ABS/TCS control unit 31 pin harness connector terminal No. 28. See Figure
. If battery voltage exists, go to step 4
. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Check SLIP indicator light bulb. Bulb is located in instrument panel. See Fig 1
and INSTRUMENT PANELS - I35
article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Replace bulb if necessary. If indicator light bulb is okay, repair open or short between ABS/TCS control unit and fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
.
- Turn ignition off. Check continuity of Pink/Black wire between ABS/TCS control unit 31 pin harness connector terminal No. 12 terminal and No. 9 terminal of the DLC. See Figure
and Figure
. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Pink/Black wire.
- Check ABS/TCS control unit 31 pin harness connector terminals for damage or loose connections. If a problem is found, repair as necessary. Reconnect harness connectors. Perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
. If a problem is found, repair as necessary. Perform self-diagnostics to confirm problem no longer exist.
