DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when ECM receives incorrect voltage from Transmission Control Module (TCM). Depending on equipment available, use one of the following to set DTC:

• Using Scan Tool
  
  Start engine and let idle for at least 40 seconds. Select MODE 7.
• Using MIL
  
  Start engine and let idle for at least 40 seconds. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Turn ignition on and retrieve DTCs using MIL. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
