DTC Confirmation Test "C" (Overall Function Check)
Malfunction "C" is detected when AP sensor voltage is too low under heavy-load driving conditions. Depending on equipment available, use one of the following to check AP sensor circuit:
- Using Scan Tool
Turn ignition on. Select MODE 1 on scan tool. MAP reading should be more than 6.7 psi (46 kg/cm2 ). - Using MIL
Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ECM harness connector terminal No. 45 and ground by backprobing. See Figure. Voltage should be more than 1.74 volts.
