Final DTC Checking

1. Clear the stored fault code by using the diagnostic equipment.
2. After starting the engine, search the fault code again.
3. Check if the fault code reappears in the diagnostic equipment.

No DTC / OK 

System is now working properly.

Release the vehicle.

Same DTC returns / NG 

Case 1) some of the procedures is missing on the flow chart,

→ Go on to the missing procedure.

Same DTC returns / NG 

Case 2) If the same DTC returns, even though mechanic has completed the whole procedure in the flow chart,

→ It is possible to suspect a failure of the controller unit. Refer to the following to proceed with the controller pass/fail decision.

Information 

1. Replace with a normal SWRC* by referring to the appropriate service information.
2. If the DTC is cleared after replacing with a normal SWRC*: It is controller error so replace the normal SWRC* and release the vehicle.
3. If the DTC is still not cleared after a normal SWRC* is installed: It is impossible to determine the controller as the cause of the trouble.

   In this case, place the existing SWRC* again, and check for the whole inspection flow again.
