Repair Procedures: Removal
- Move the shift lever to "N".
- Turn ignition OFF switch and the disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the ECM.
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) ")
- Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY and BATTERY TRAY ")
- Disconnect the position switch connector (A).
- Loosen the shift cable mounting nut (A).
- Remove the manual control lever (A) after loosening the mounting nut.
- Loosen the bolts and then removing the position switch (A).
